Just a quick post before we run out to the local farmers market and to pick up our booze for the wedding...
I was in the grocery store yesterday buying potatoes and something interesting caught my eye. A pile of individually plastic-wrapped potatoes labeled, "microwavable potatoes". Ummm....aren't all potatoes microwavable? For years I've been piercing holes in potatoes, wrapping them in a paper towel and popping them in the microwave for a quick and tasty side dish.
Can we possibly invent any more ways to waste plastic??????? As Napoleon Dynamite would say, GOSH!

The plastic wrap is the unfortunate, wasteful symptom of the larger problem: the sheer laziness of the consumer. Disgusting.
